Joe Hall named to VaSID Academic All-State Team

Joe Hall, a student at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), has been named to the Academic All-State Team by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

Joe Hall (Gladys, Va./Rustburg), Sr., Baseball, Recreation Leadership and Sports Studies, 3.58 GPA. Hall earned his first Academic All-State honor as he wrapped up one of the best baseball careers in program history. A two-time ODAC batting champion, including a career best .447 clip this year, Hall was named All-State First Team as well as All-Region by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association. Along with being the ODAC Scholar-Athlete and CoSIDA Academic All-District, he led the nation with 71 hits during the regular season and broke EMU’s season record with 25 stolen bases.

To earn VaSID Academic All-State honors, a student-athlete must have achieved at least a 3.25 grade point average and be at least a sophomore. Each school in the state is allowed six nominees.
