Local Student Grant Amoateng Makes All-Region Track and Field Team

Grant Amoateng of Bristow, VA (20136) was placed on the All-Region Team, as named by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Amoateng placed All-Region for his ranking in the triple jump.

Amoateng, who represented Eastern Mennonite University at the NCAA Championships Memorial Day weekend, was the top-ranked individual in his event in the South/Southeast Region.

To be named All-Region, an athlete must be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to the final TFRRS data.

EMU's track & field teams placed a total of six athletes on the All-Region Team.
